Birthday Spoils!!!

So yesterday (now April 5th cuz I took forever =P) was Jon's 24th birthday and if I wasn't in school and had all the time in the world I would have spoiled him rotten with foods and such, but alas I had lots of homework and even an organic chemistry test but I put that studying off til later that night anyways =P. So if I'd had my way I would have gotten Jon two dozen doughnuts since he turned two dozen years old! Then I wanted to make him homemade twix since that's his favorite candy or cheesecake, or lemon bars... but no time. I also wanted to make him lunch but I had no time for that either. Or even for the traditional smiley face pancakes for breakfast. He loves sushi so it would have been great to take him out for some or at least some kind of Asian diner. BUT none of this happened.

So instead of doughnuts, (I knew he wouldn't eat all that and I did not want to help him either) I just went to Dunkin Doughnuts to get him two dozen doughnut holes instead. Turns out they sell them by 25's... so I popped one in my mouth and called it good =). Then for lunch he had some coupons for free smoothies at a new place on campus so we decided to go check it out. Turns out it also included a free herbal tea and some body test. We passed on the body test, don't need to be told I'm fat =P Jon got the peach herbal tea (tasted nasty...) and I got the raspberry which was way better than his peach. I felt so bad, but we still had delicious smoothies! Jon got strawberry cheesecake which was super powdery but I guess he loves that so he devoured his smoothie and I got the Reese's. MMMMMMM! I figured it was all healthy so why not? It was sooo good and not that powdery. I was so full after!

Then after our last class we headed home to relax for a bit before going tooooo... THE GASLIGHT!!! I had been DYING to take him there for MONTHS and I had booked our tickets way back in December, I was so excited and had been waiting in agony for this day. It was so hard not to just take him when I thought of the idea. They always have fun shows and every one I wanted to take him too. Anyways we headed out, sat right up front in the middle, ordered pizza and the show began! It was the Three Musketeers and so at the beginning was a lot of, "We are the Three Musketeeeeers!" or "One for all and all for one!" Those two lines were repeated about ten times in the first five minutes and the strained look on Jon's face to keep his smile made me nervous. But once the plot was set and the action began rolling the repeating stopped and he actually laughed and had fun! I was ECSTATIC! It was soo much fun, Prince Louie the 14th was hillarious, along with King Louie. The villains had such a fun time with their job and my favorite was probably the Princess of Spain and her immediate love for Louie. You just have to go see the show it was amazing!

So after the show we headed home talking and laughing about all the actors and how great the show was (oh yeah and the old guy is STILL there! I love him!). But good days can never last long and it was off to studying Organic Chemistry right after we got home. I ended up getting a 51 on that test but the class average was a 45 so I think I did pretty good =P Anyways Jon's birthday was a wonderful day full of fun times and I hope he had as great of time as I did.
