Oooooh what a night!

Points to anyone who got the song I was trying to refer to here =P

Anyways it was a crazy night. I had big plans to make Spicy Chicken Rigatoni for dinner tonight and was super excited about it. I had everything going great, the ground red pepper and minced garlic were smelling so wonderful and it was nice and rainy outside when all of the sudden... the power went off. So the stove got cold just in the middle of me cooking my chicken. Luckily it didn't last long and the chicken was done cooking in no time. Now to add the marinara sauce... oh wait we don't have any! I had bought a lot and Jon never wants spaghetti so it never crossed my mind he would have used it all up with his mini pizza making. So I ran to the store and bought some marinara sauce in a can since it was the cheapest.

Get home all excited to finally get this made, because the chicken cooking in the seasonings smelled SOOO GOOD!!! I take the can to our electric can opener that Jon had gotten at Goodwill. I secretly hate that thing because I can never get it to work on my first try and this time was no different... except this time it decided I broke it. Frustrated I stormed off to the dollar store where Jon claimed they had manual can openers, the kind I prefer. Luckily they did but not for a dollar which was lame because that's the point of being a 99cent store right? But it was still a good price for what it was and I headed home wondering what other mishap would befall me next. Thankfully there were none! Once home I quickly reheated the stove, added the marinara sauce along with alfredo and got to eat! It was soooo yummy! Making it was a terror but way worth it! Finally the End!

So we drove to Six Flags a little sad that it was super windy outside and due to the wind they had several of the awesome rides closed. It wasn't a packed day at Six Flags at all but they decided to only run one coaster per ride which made the lines insanely long and lots of people upset. We still got to ride on some fun ones but yeah the lines were ridiculous.

We did the water rafting ride and Jon had the perfect spot to get completely soaked, I was a tad jealous. Then we rode on the Riddler, the Batman ride (which I think they also have in Texas), the old wooden coaster which didn't hurt or jerk you around as much as the one in Texas so it was more enjoyable. Then they had that super tall one with the huge initial drop and I kept my eyes open when you go through the arch thing at the end! I had tried that on the Texas one a couple years ago but never could do it! That one also made me almost black out. I was kind of freaking out, but then I found out it did that to pretty much everyone.
The last ride we did was the Tatsu which Jon said was one of his top favorites (his other two favorites were closed for the whole day sadly). It was weird to be facing down thinking if that hold on you gave out you'd just drop down and smash your face in, but it was probably my favorite ride of the day! I turned to talk to Jon about how awesome it was when he said, "I think my keys got sucked out..." I hoped he just couldn't feel them at the time and they were really there, but upon getting off he found he really didn't have keys. We talked to a lady that worked the ride and she directed us to the lost and found. There we filled out a receipt about the lost item and then waited the next hour and a half for them to close the park and search the ride. We said a prayer together that they would find them. I don't know what would have happened if they didn't because I had conveniently left the spare key in my bag in the car =P So we entertained ourselves with looking through the souvenir shop and finally we got our keys back. YAAAAYYYY!!!! A huge relief.

Waiting and hoping they find our keys

After that we went and grabbed a fast dinner at Burger King and some slushies at 7Eleven (the slushies were a bad idea because now Jon is hooked on them). Then we headed off to Vegas baby! We got to our fancy hotel at around 12:30 and crashed into bed. Three theme parks in three days is exhausting! I think we're probably good now until we have kids old enough to go.

South Point Hotel

The next morning we decided to relax in the sweet jacuzzi the hotel had. I waited for Jon to go get his swim suit out of the car, but I guess he'd forgotten it so I lent him my shorts and let me tell you he looked hilarious! I wish I had the camera but then he still would have refused me to take a picture. He said it was super weird to wear something that "hugged his curves". After the pool we quickly went and showered and signed out by noon. We went back in for their all you could eat buffet at 6 bucks for each of us. THERE WAS SO MUCH FOOD!!! They had seafood, Asian, Italian, Mexican, BBQ, a salad and soup bar, and last but not least two huge shelves of fancy cakes, cheesecakes, mousse, tarts, and much more! For all you could eat! I took little servings and still didn't get to try half the things I wanted to. I didn't even really have room for dessert but I made room for one mousse slice. Needless to say we both rolled ourselves out of there and weren't hungry for the rest of the day.

We then went and explored the strip, which was nice and relaxing compared to the crazy rush of theme parks the past three days. We wandered around M&M world, Coca Cola store, saw Bumblebee and Jack Sparrow. Went through the Bellagio with all its crazy, beautiful flower statues and contorted chocolate fountains. We also wandered around Ceasar's Palace which was gorgeous! Our favorite part was the aquarium and the funny sting rays that were floating around and putting their mouths on the glass. We also tried to tour through a chocolate factory but got there too late so maybe the next time we go.

And finally it was time to head home! It was an amazing and fun honeymoon full of many memories both good and bad, but that's what makes them fun right?!? Well now I can finally post about other things =P

Disneyland!!!

So the next morning we woke up, signed out and grabbed a couple doughnuts they had as their complimentary breakfast and headed off to the happiest place on earth! We waited at the rope and rushed off to get first in line to Space Mountain. I did not enjoy this running since I was sore from the day before and running three days before (I'm in the process of getting back in shape and yeah it was pathetic I was sore). Space Mountain we found out was closed for the time being and then the Matterhorn was closed until June. We were sad about the Matterhorn but at least later in the day we got to come back and ride Space Mountain a ton of times.

These guys were so funny because they were so mean
to all the people and even went to a concession stand
demanding a drink!

We did all of the usual rides, Indiana Jones, The Jungle River, Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain, Nemo, and even all the little ones like the Tea Cups and Roger Rabbits. The whole while Jon would read up on his phone accidents that happened on the rides and some on the ones we were about to go to. There are some intense stories! Luckily we rode everything in safety.

On Splash Mountain

We rode Space Tours twice because we heard the ride was different each time you went. The second time we were beginning our awesome space tour, they announced as usual that a rebel spy was on board. Pictures began to flash on the screen and suddenly stopped on a picture of me! When in the world had they taken that picture??? It was when we were sitting down waiting but I had no idea they had taken it! Little to say that made the ride even more fun, and yes I was kept safe.

Then a funny story when we were riding in the Haunted Mansion it kept stopping in the middle which we concluded was them boarding handicap people onto the conveyer-belted seats. When we were stopped at one point an announcement came on stating for everyone to keep their hands to themselves and that we were all being monitored. Me and Jon looked at each other puzzled and then a few seconds later the voice came on more fervent, that they could see us and knew what we were doing so to keep our hands to ourselves. Some couple must have been getting comfortable =P We had a good laugh at that.

And this time Jon whooped me on the Buzz Lightyear shooting ride.
Those stupid laserguns you can tell where you're pointing to because everyone else has them flashing around! =P

We got hungry like an hour after our doughnuts, they were not a filling breakfast sadly so we suffered through the hunger until 3:30 when I got my traditional bread soup bowl and Jon faced the all you could eat BBQ in a restaurant in Frontier Land (thanks to Preston and Monica for paying for that!). He ended up eating five pieces of chicken, 16 ribs, a bowl of beans, cornbread, and probably a half gallon of water. Wow!

Also on one of our walks through Frontier Land we ran across a very peculiar turkey. He stood in the corner closest to the people of his enclosure and tried to eat his top gobbler. That's all he did. It was hillarious if you saw it and he only stopped when some random people came by clapping at him. To this he turned  his head in confusion to them and waddle on over to stare. When they left he went right back to his spot trying to eat his gobbler.

We finally got out of Disneyland around 10:30 and drove up to a hotel near Six Flags where we would spend our next day of the honeymoon.

Honeymoon Day 2!

So the second day we left Jon's uncle and aunt's house and headed to California Adventure. I was the most excited because I hadn't ever been there before. When we got there Jon immediately grabbed a map and began planning out our route of rides. We first ran off to the California Screamin' roller-coaster which was super fun. I think we ended up going on that one like four times through out the day. After like the third time we went to look at our picture and I freaked out because Jon's face was the most terrifying thing ever! Later his dad said he looked like an escaped murder convict which I thought fit well.

We hurried all day from ride to ride getting fast passes when we could and we hit every ride we wanted to with some extra rounds in there. But finally at around 4 we were tired of all the walking and decided to watch the Aladdin show they had going on. When we sat down, Jon reached into one of his pockets and pulled it out covered in sunscreen. I had just used it around an hour and half ago and put the cap safely on and he put it in his pocket. On one of the more recent rides the cap must have popped off and squeezed out all the contents into his pocket. I felt sooooo bad! I asked to make sure he had another pair of shorts with him in the car. He'd brought two shirts for the trip so I figured he'd also have another pair, but no he didn't. What a boy =P We still enjoyed the show along with the rest of the day, especially the awesome water/laser/fire show they had at night. But as soon as we got to our hotel I did my best at washing out as much of the sunscreen from his shorts as I could and I was surprised that I was able to wash out a lot of it. Luckily by morning his shorts had mostly dried and the pocket wasn't so greasy looking any more. We were ready to tackle Disneyland! (Which will be in another post because I don't have the patience to write any more =P)

Waiting for the water show

This is suppose to be Ariel

Ready to go in!

I beat Jon at the Toy Story shooting ride =)

Entertaining ourselves before Aladdin by putting flowers in my shoe's holes

Going on the California Screamin' again...
